Falling for the Billionaire (One Night Stand #5)(2)By: J. S. Cooper & Helen Cooper
“Everything,” he said, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed my body.
“Everything?” I licked my lips nervously.
“I want you to submit to me, Lacey.” His voice was almost a growl as he spoke and I could see lust in his eyes.
“Excuse me?” My eyes widened at his words. He wasn’t messing around about what he wanted. I’d expected he’d dance around a bit before he said it, but it looked as though he was cutting to the chase.
“A man like me takes what he wants when he wants it,” Henry said as he undid his tie and threw it to the ground. “That’s important for you to remember.”
“I see.” I stared at his tie on the ground and then back at him. What was he going to do next?
“Do you?” he asked as he stepped forward, and I watched as he undid the rest of the buttons of his crisp white shirt one by one. I felt like I couldn’t breathe as I watched him. It almost felt like I was in a dream. This couldn’t really be happening, could it?
“Yes.” I nodded, swallowing hard and staring at his olive skin as he took his shirt off and threw it next to his tie. “What are you doing?” I asked him, my eyes widening as his fingers fell to his belt. I watched as he removed it as deftly as he’d removed his tie. Whoa! I had not expected him to take off all of his clothes. He wasn’t going to go completely naked, was he?
“What does it look like?” He licked his lips and smirked at me.
“Why are you taking your clothes off?”
“Why do you think?” he said as he bent down and removed his dark navy slacks. He stood in front of me, almost naked, his white boxer briefs the only thing keeping him from baring all.
“Henry…” I said, my head starting to spin. My throat felt dry as I stared at him. Boy, was he sexy.
“Yes?” he said, and he smiled, a big, wide smile, before stepping out of his boxer shorts. He was naked now. Completely and utterly naked. My gaze fell to his cock. I swallowed again as I took it in. He was big, magnificent almost. I couldn’t believe he had just gotten naked in front of me. He was way too comfortable with me. I had to nip this in the bud before he went too far.
“Henry…” I said again and took a step back. My face was burning and my body was on fire. I was in way over my head and I didn’t know what to say or do. I groaned as I felt the wall behind me. He’d backed me into a corner, just as he’d planned. I was almost sure that he had me exactly where he wanted me.
“Yes, Lacey?” he said, his green eyes piercing mine knowingly.
“What are you doing?” I repeated, my voice barely a whisper.
“Showing you how easy it is to let go,” he said. He slammed the door shut and turned the lock. “Are you ready to hear my proposition now?”
Three Weeks Earlier
“A hundred dollars for the night…a hundred dollars for the night.” I kept repeating the words to myself over and over again to keep myself from turning my car around and going back home. “A hundred dollars for the night,” I said again, this time with a sigh. I looked down at my serving outfit and grimaced. I looked like a maid. A cheap, slutty maid. My black skirt was way too short, my white shirt was too tight and it was also a little see-through, which I hadn’t realized until I’d left the house. I was going to show up and be the worst server at the party. Of that I was sure. I might even get fired. And on my first day. Ugh, that would be embarrassing. I had no experience as a waitress and I didn’t even really look the part. And as much as I wanted to go home and just forget the job, I needed the money. “This is what you get for trying to make it as a writer, you broke-ass,” I chastised myself as I drove up the long driveway to one of the most impressive houses I’d ever seen in my life. I tried to remember where my new boss had said to park, but I completely forgot. I pulled up behind a black Bentley, quickly jumped out of my car, and slammed the door shut. I grabbed my handbag and headed to the front door, even though I vaguely remembered being told to enter via the servants’ entrance. I couldn’t remember how to get there so I just went through the front door and prayed no one would see me and tell me off.
